ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Denver Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said Monday the team is fortunate quarterback Trevor Siemians shoulder injury wasnt worse, and the plan is for Siemian to start Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons if he progresses as expected this week.Siemian left Denvers 27-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?on Sunday just before halftime with an injury to his left (nonthrowing) shoulder. Rookie Paxton Lynch came on in relief and finished 14-of-24 for 170 yards plus his first career touchdown pass.Siemian was evaluated by the Broncos medical staff Monday. Kubiak said he is day-to-day, but the expectation is that Siemian will practice at least some this week and will play against the Falcons.We feel fortunate with Trevor, and hopefully day-to-day and get him here to [Sunday], Kubiak said.
